Walking on water and flour

A simple mixture of flour and water produces a a non-Newtonian fluid. This fluid has unusual properties. The greater the force that is applied to it the more rigid it becomes and the more it behaves like a solid. As the force is reduced on the fluid it becomes more liquid and runny.
